The 36^th “A. Castellani” Meeting of PhD students in biochemical sciences will be held from Monday, May 25 (arrival day), to Friday, May 29 (departure day) 2026, in Brallo di Pregola at Park Hotel Olimpia.

After the release of the first announcement, we are now happy to inform you that the

Registration for the meeting is now open and will close on April 13

Please complete the registration form and submit it as an attachment of an email message to:

The scientific program will include 25–30 oral presentations by PhD students, each consisting of 15 min for the presentation plus 5 min for discussion, as well as two “blitz” presentation sessions (6 presentations per session). A blitz presentations will last 10 min in total (including discussion) and should include 2–4 slides. No poster session is planned.

Priority for full oral presentations will be given to 2^nd– and 3^rd-year PhD students, whereas blitz presentations will primarily be assigned to 1^st– and 2^nd-year PhD students, depending on the number of abstracts received.

The deadline for abstract submission and payment of the registration fee is April 27.
Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified after this date regarding selection for oral presentation and the presentation format.

For this edition the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) will also support the attendance of six PhD students from all over Europe, selected from those who will apply according to this call.
